The way I am designed

Why its difficult to understand what I want.
Why is loving someone so hard.
Why am I so afraid to get what my heart desire.
May be this is how I am designed.

Why is there so much insecurities.
Why am I always little short of happiness.
Why expectations always lead to disappointment.
These all feels like an essential part of my design.

Why in room full of people I feel lonely.
Why I push someone away as soon as they understand me.
Why can’t I ever let go of my guards.
I guess there is some problem with my design.

  1. hey, very nicely written. A lot of introverts will resonate with your writing, me included. And yes, one thing, without any offence and an advance apology, please correct the spelling of Guard and do forgive if i sound offensive, i have no such intention.
I liked your poem a lot!

  2. Good questions. It does seem like a matter of design, but the best part about life is that we can always redesign ourselves into what we wish to become. Stay safe! Have a great weekend!

  4. Wonderfully written and thought provoking. I think many feel the same way. We all develop our thought patterns as we grow up. They are not permanent and can be replaced. We can always change the paradigm. Thank you for sharing.

  6. You like all of us, are beautiful in your own unique way. Sometimes it’s our imperfections that make us glorious as they separate us from the rest. You are a wonderful dreamer in your own respect. I genuinely loved the articulation of your thoughts! I look forward to reading more of your writings in the near future. 🙂

  7. Is this a ghazal?? I LOVE ghazals 🙂
Either way, this is absolutely beautiful! We are designed in different ways, which makes each and every one of us amazing ❤️

  8. Loved this poem! For a long time, I thought I would never meet anyone I had anything in common with. Then I met the person who was perfect for me. This poem reminds me of the fairy tale, “The Frog Prince.” and the saying, “You have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince!” In my case, you have to send a lot of emails… : ) Cheryl

  9. Introverts have these personalities, noisy mind. I’ve personally been through times fighting with my thoughts. We can let go of all these self – limiting beliefs when we find the best version of ourselves. We resonate with the present and have found our mission / true purpose in life. We then tend to appreciate life and all the people who come across in our lives. It all happens for a reason.
